A proper Irish bar and restaurant, around the back.

Some of the best pubs in Ireland are the ones you'd walk straight past. The Síbín is one of those.
You get to it around the back of Big Dave's Chipper, on Ferguson St, and once you're in, you're in. It's a place for dinner and a pint, a trad session that runs later than planned, the big match on the screens and a quiz you were sure you'd win.
It's built for the Irish in Sydney who miss their local, and for everyone else who wants to see what all the fuss is about. Everyone's welcome. Bring your mates.
Síbín
Said "shebeen".
In Ireland, a síbín was an unlicensed drinking house, usually someone's back room with a bit of music and a lot of chat. The word went round the world with the Irish and stuck.
Ours keeps the back-room spirit and the music. The rest is all above board, before anyone asks.
Craic agus ceol is on the sign. It means fun and music. That's the whole plan.
Come in for one.
Around the back of Big Dave's, on Ferguson St, Maroubra.
Mon, Thu and Fri 4pm to 10pm. Sat and Sun 12pm to 10pm.
